Job Description
TSR Industrial Maintenance Inc (TSR) is a leader in providing outsourced maintenance services to manufacturing customers in Southern Ontario.
Reporting to the general manager, TSR is seeking an experienced Maintenance Supervisor to join our team of professionals and experienced maintenance staff. In this role, the successful candidate will work closely with our customers and staff to provide preventative and emergency maintenance services to ensure plant operations continue as per plant schedules. The successful candidate will enjoy the responsibility of directing a skilled and experienced team supported by mentoring within a structured reporting environment.
Responsibilities:
- Work with plant staff to prioritize and plan maintenance jobs and actions.
- With support of Management and Lead hands, hire, retain, train and supervise activities of a staff of 15.
- Ensure timing preparation of all necessary reporting including invoicing, payroll, work reports, and safety, amongst others.
- Abide by all company policies and procedures and ensure that all other employees and contractors do so as well.
- Communicate with management regarding all relevant issues and activities at the customer's location.
- Maintain the corporate health and safety program as a member of the Joint Health and Safety Committee.
Working Environment:
- Hours of work are Monday – Friday, 8:00 am – 4:30 pm, with the ability to support a 24/7 plant operation.
Experience and Education
- 5+ years of experience as a supervisor of trades, overseeing a plant maintenance department.
- Licenced electrician preferred.
- High school diploma, technical diploma from a community college preferred
- Ability to effectively communicate with key customer personal to deliver cost effective solutions
- Ability to excel working against strict timelines.
