PERMANENT ENGLISH AS A SECOND LANGUAGE INSTRUCTOR/S

The School of Adult, Alternative and Continuing Education at the G.A. Wheable Centre requires English as a Second Language Instructors. 

Location: London and Middlesex Work Zones 

Hours: 2.5 hours to 25 hour positions (full-time) both day and evening available 

Start date: September 2016
    
Rate of pay:    $28.12 per hour not a Member of the Ontario College of Teachers     

$35.67 per hour as a Member of the Ontario College of Teachers

Plus 4% vacation pay and 4% statutory holiday pay

Qualifications:  TESL ONTARIO ACCREDITATION IS REQUIRED.  

A minimum of an undergraduate degree, including formal training in Adult ESL and an awareness and sensitivity to cultural and sociological issues. Experience with the delivery of educational programming, ideally with adult learners, is required. 
 
Position Summary:  Applicants should be prepared to demonstrate expertise for one or more of the                                     following instructional opportunities:

Generic ESL and LINC classes - all levels    
ESL and LINC Literacy                
TOEFL / IELTS Preparation
Computer Assisted Language Learning (CALL)                    
ESL in the Workplace                
ESL for Employment
ESL for Internationally Trained Professionals    
English for Specific Purposes
