JOB SUMMARY
The Marketing Specialist will be based in Canada and will support the Business Development & Sales Team to drive new business in North America within the law enforcement and defence markets. The role will involve brainstorming and developing creative sales/marketing campaigns and will involve working closely with distributors and partners to raise the profile of NP Aerospace in a highly competitive market. It will involve assisting in outbound or inbound marketing activities by demonstrating expertise in various areas (content development and optimization, advertising, events planning etc)
The role will be fast paced and involve engagement with multiple functions in the business – sales managers, product managers, engineers, production staff, finance. It will also involve liaison with customers, technology partners, media and industry associations and monitoring competitor activity to ensure NP Aerospace is at the forefront of the market.
Tasks will be very varied. From creating competitor reports, distributor tools and sales process documents through to hands on preparation of demo kit and shipments. There will also be a significant element of written / creative support for the website and social media and data analysis.
The candidate will be organized, have good attention to detail and be comfortable dealing with a wide variety of tasks and people within and outside of the business

JOB DUTIES
Marketing

- Support creation of regular sales / product update emails.
- Create training and development plans for sales representatives and re-sellers.
- Manage e-commerce platform build and improvements
- Update and develop sales materials as well as various marketing campaigns
- Support set up of internal and external customer visits and events (display room / presentations)
- Develop, prepare, and deliver sales materials, trade show exhibits, conference appearances, and other promotional programs.
- Support demos – getting kit ready for shipment and assisting with paperwork
- N. America sales material updates
- Create event leads databases and pull into the CRM.
- Manage demo kit inventory for distributors, customers, and events
- Update website content as applicable
- Create social media posts targeted for North American market and update platforms
- Update PR/ media list and monitor media coverage
- Determine target markets and their various characteristics
- Determine needs and expectations of target market
- Recommend strategies that ensure our clients can access their target markets
- Build communication templates
- Provide inputs on designs that identify and create interest in the product
- Aligned with sales team to engage channel partners, exploring collaboration opportunities and joint marketing programs
- Conduct market & competitor research
- Investigate and keep us up to date with what the competition is doing
- Initiate and propose positive push and pull activities with the sales team
- Develop and design innovative marketing solutions
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
- University or college degree in Marketing, Sales, Business Administration or an acceptable combination of education and experience.
- Relevant work experience in a sales & marketing environment
- Strong creative/strategic/project management/organizational/presentation/digital communications/writing skills
- Experience with social media platforms and content writing
- Basic Graphic design skills and an eye for aesthetics in presentation materials
- Proven ability to prepare marketing proposals with a blend of focused research, strategy, and creativity.
- Excellent IT skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Ability to coordinate and organize meetings, exhibits, and other events.
- Able to pass security clearance and background checks.
- Base salary $60,000k -75,000k (depending on experience and background)
- 40 hrs per week (Mon to Fri) based on-site with potential hybrid working available
