Autodata Solutions is looking for a Java Web Developer to join their London, Ontario Development team!

Position Overview:

We want to engage you in ground up development of enterprise level software applications for some of the largest companies in the world.  Our customer list includes Toyota, Ford, GM, Chrysler, Nissan, VW, Lexus, Ducati, Google, MSN as well as major banks and financial institutions in North American (and many more).  With us you will create elegant and robust web based Java software solutions using a wide variety of frameworks and approaches.  Responsive design, HTML5, Spring MVC, Spring Batch, jQuery, myBatis and KendoUI to name a few. 

Key Responsibilities:

• Write, code, test and analyze software programs and applications according to specifications
• Build and create web based applications, website enhancements, desktop applications, database backed websites and web layout enhancements
• Liaise with Business Analysts, Architects, Technical Consultants and other Programmers to conceptualize and develop new software programs and applications
• Assist in the preparation and documentation of program requirements and specifications
• Recognize system deficiencies and implements effective solutions
• Recommend, schedule, and perform software improvements and upgrades
• Remain on the forefront of emerging industry practices

Qualifications:

• Degree or diploma in Computer Science or equivalent education/experience
• 3-6 years experience designing and building internet-based applications with languages such as Java, C++, C#
• 3 years experience with Java/J2EE application servers
• 2 years experience with web servers such as Tomcat
• Experience with version control systems such as Perforce, Subversion or Git
• Experience with build tools such as Maven or Ant
• Familiarity with SQL and database development
• Confidence working across the entire web stack (front, middle and back end tiers)
