Our London Ontario manufacturing client is seeking a Millwright to join their growing team.  This is a great opportunity to join a world class organization who are leaders in their field.  Your primary job requirement is to act as a trouble shooter and to complete the maintenance, repair and replacement of parts or equipment in production and around the facility. This is a full-time position on the midnight shift which offers benefits and eligibility for company RRSP Plan.   This is a unionized position.  A summary of qualifications are listed below:

Required:
 

• Inter-provincial Red Seal Journeyman Millwright trade certification
• Experience in a manufacturing environment
• Able to work midnights or afternoons shift including some on-call weekends and overtime
• Self-starter with ability to work effectively and lead within a team environment
• Must be willing to work from heights, work outside in various weather conditions, inside the plant, in confined spaces, and in a potentially physically strenuous environment
• Basic knowledge of industrial safety, food safety and environmental regulations with absolute commitment to safety
• Strong problem solving skills, good written and verbal communication skills
• Strong work ethic and a desire to be part of a high-performing team
• Must be legally entitled to work in Canada on a non-temporary basis
• Knowledge of the Maintenance Reliability process (predictive and preventative maintenance) and Predictive Technologies
• Forklift operator license

 
Preferred:
 

• Automation control, boiler and steam systems training and experience will be considered an asset.
• Welding certification and/or other trade experience
• Demonstrated computer skills including data entry and data retrieval
• Ability to read blueprints and layout drawings
