Supervisor of Housekeeping and Facility
Full Time – Woodstock YMCA
Salary Range: TBD
Nature and Scope
The Facility Manager will be an integral part of the Woodstock YMCA management team and is responsible for the co-ordination and delivery of a comprehensive maintenance and cleaning program that exceeds the levels of service excellence as determined by YMCA: Priority S.A.M. (Serving All Members) standards.
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct leadership to cleaning and maintenance staff to ensure a clean, safe, well maintained branch. This also includes hands on duties in housekeeping and facility maintenance.
- Models commitment to service excellence by maintaining YMCA standards.
- Ensures health and safety of employees in the workplace and demonstrates clean culture.
- Develops and sustains good member, staff, volunteer relations on a daily basis.
- Develops and maintains for approval the annual cleaning and maintenance budgets.
- Co-ordinates all relevant trades’ people for repairs and maintenance preformed as required.
- Responsible for recruitment, selection, training, scheduling and performance management of staff and volunteers .
- Respond to and proactively deal with members and potential issues of concern in a customer oriented manner
- Ensure immediate communication of escalated issues to General Manager.
Other Job Details: 40 hrs/week; variety of shifts including evenings and weekends
Qualifications & Experience:
- Standard First Aid and CPR- C
- Minimum 2 years supervisory experience
- Minimum 3 years of related building maintenance experience
- Valid Ontario Drivers License
- Current Criminal Record Check including Vulnerable Position Screening
