Reporting to the Finance & Administration Manager, the Financial Analyst is responsible for accurate budgeting, costing, pricing, billing and reporting.
 
The position’s overall responsibilities will include:

• Completing monthly financial analysis of projects and accounts for use by management to aide in the preparation of financial statements.
• Preparing contract billing reports, reviewing with project managers and entering into the system to ensure accurate, consistent and timely billing information.
• Reviewing and analyzing project budgets to ensure accurate costing and revenue per contract, adjusting budgets and record variances when required.
• Reviewing and analyzing inventory to ensure proper counts and values are tracked within the system and making entry adjustments when necessary.
• Preparing weekly, monthly and yearly financial reports used by management to help in assessing current financial status and GM.
• Maintaining detailed records to perform A/R duties and providing accurate reports reconciliations, inventory and financial reporting.

 
The incumbent will bring the following skills, attributes and experience to the position:

• A CGA, CMA or CA designation is required
• A minimum of 3-5 years of industry experience is a must
• Experience with project type billing is considered an asset
• The ability to evaluate standardized facts/data, usually requiring the compilation of information and/or the ability to verify or reconcile information by cross-referencing between two or more data sources
• Process improvement recommendations and strategies in order to improve quality of work undertaken
