Tillsonburg Talentcor is currently looking for a Purchasing Assistant to work at one of our Tillsonburg clients in the Food Industry.

General Responsibilities:

• Assist the senior buyer on a day-to-day basis
• Perform administrative functions in regards to purchasing and order entry
• Process purchase orders including confirmation of prices and place orders with vendors
• Arrange inbound shipments with carriers and ensure they deliver within agreed terms
• Discuss any discrepancies of orders with buyers
• Assist with other administrative duties as required

General Qualifications:

• Minimum 2 years experience
• Well organized and the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
• Attention to detail and an eye for a high level of accuracy
• Strong computer literacy (especially in the use of excel)
• Excellent communication skills both oral and written
• Ability to meet deadlines and a desire to work as part of a team
• Open to learning new skills
• Post-secondary education an asset, but not required
