Job Description

Businesstech is looking for an onsite technician to assist us with solving our clients day to day IT needs. Our company is extremely customer focused. We have built our business on the ability to solve our clients issues in a timely fashion. We work in a fast paced environment and the ability to multi-task is a required skill. Communication with both team members and clients is essential to our success, and therefore an essential skill.
 
We are looking for a technician with great technical knowledge of workstations and servers. You must be a great problem solver as the ability to research and figure out resolutions to problems independently is a must for this industry. Knowledge of the legal industry is an asset. Knowledge of computer cabling is also preferred. Experience with PSA and RMM software is also an asset.
 
Daily duties will include the following for clients both remotely and on-site. You own vehicle is a must.
 
  • Experience troubleshooting Microsoft Server technologies such as Exchange, SQL, IIS;
  • installing and configuring computer hardware operating systems and applications;
  • monitoring and maintaining computer systems and networks;
  • talking clients through a series of actions, either face to face or over the telephone to help set up systems or resolve issues;
  • troubleshooting system and network problems and diagnosing and solving hardware/software faults;
  • replacing parts as required;
  • providing support, including procedural documentation and relevant reports;
  • following diagrams and written instructions to repair a fault or set up a system;
  • supporting the roll-out of new applications;
  • setting up new users' accounts and profiles and dealing with password issues;
  • responding within agreed time limits to service calls;
  • working continuously on a task until completion (or referral to third parties, if appropriate);
  • prioritizing and managing many open cases at one time;
  • rapidly establishing a good working relationship with customers and other professionals,
  • testing and evaluating new technology;
 
Salary will be based on experience.
