Reporting to the Manager, Human Resources at our Head Office location, this position is responsible for providing administrative support for the Human Resources team, with an emphasis on postings, benefits administration, documentation and assisting with maintaining the talent management database.

Responsibilities Include:

• Provide a full spectrum of administrative support functions to the Human Resources team, including maintaining documents, policies, internal forms, letter templates, job descriptions, preparing onboarding packages, benefit information, survey data, training, presentation material and other projects. Organize storage of all records, department files and data, both electronic and hard copy.
• Prepare and distribute internal and external job postings. Maintain Starfinder database, records of postings, advertising, applicants and resumes, and assist in recruiting activities and offer letter preparation.
• Maintain accurate internal and carrier enrolment records of all standard and optional benefit and pension plans, and co-ordinate all related program administration and updates. Prepare group benefit invoices and remittances. Maintain all inventories of supplies, booklets and carrier policy manuals. 
• Perform data uploads and assist with Halogen talent management system maintenance.
• Participate in HR project overflow support and ad hoc projects as directed. 

Experience & Qualifications:

• Diploma or post-secondary degree in Human Resources Management is an asset.
• 2-3 years’ related experience in providing Human Resources administrative and recruiting support, document management, benefit and pension administration.
• Computer proficiency with intermediate to advanced Microsoft Office skills; experience with in-house talent management software and internet-based recruiting processes.
• Accuracy and strong attention to detail; writing and proofreading skills.
• Customer-service focused; demonstrated positive interpersonal and communication skills
• Self-directed and team-oriented; organized; able to multi-task and manage priorities.
• Good problem-solving skills, with a professional manner and demonstrated ability to handle confidential information.
