SE Freight Systems Inc. has  an immediate opening for a  Logistics Planner/Scheduler.

Your primary role is to co-ordinate all deliveries to end users on a daily basis using Excel to track and schedule deliveries. This is a fast paced role requiring strong problem solving, analytical skills and understanding of routes to plan, schedule and confirm deliveries in the most efficient and cost effective manner. Logisitcs Automotive experience is an asset to this role.

Logistics Scheduler/Planner

Job Responsibilities include:

Schedule, plan and confirm all deliveries to our customers throughout Ontario, Quebec, US while ensuring truck utilization is maximized and deliver costs are minimized
Using strong analytical skills to identify opportunities to improve efficiencies and reduce operational costs
Liaise with operations and customer service on a daily basis to resolve any issues in order to meet customer scheduling needs
Resolving any scheduling issues and making necessary changes to adjust to ever changing customer and driver issues
Ensure driver schedules comply with MTO and DOT regulations
Provide detailed route specs for each route to create proper training tools
Partner with Fleet and Operations to ensure you have proper levels of rental equipment to meet short term and long term requirements
Responsible for implementing policies and procedures in dispatch department to improve efficiencies

Minimum Qualifications:

A college diploma specializing in Supply Chain or Logistics or equivalent experience
Prior experience in scheduling in the logistics field is essential to this position
Knowledge of automotive industry - Just in Time delivery systems is an asset
Strong computer skills - MS Word, Excel and Outlook required
Ability to work independently with minimum supervision
Ability to adapt to constant changes as well as ability to learn quickly
Strong communication skills required to work with internal and external customers alike
Working knowledge of planning/scheduling tools
