Job Description
We are currently seeking a full-time Bookkeeper on a contract basis. The ideal candidate would have experience with bookkeeping, payroll for hourly, salary and commissioned employees, as well as experience working within the automotive dealership environment.
Duties (may include and not limited too):- All accounts payable and accounts receivable functions
- Reconciling all accounts
- Completing payroll entries (up to approx. 30 people) in all hourly, salary, commission differences
- Benefit administration, payroll set up, creating new employee files and obtaining documents
- Completing trial balances, general ledgers, journal entries, etc.
- Preparing T4s as needed
- Preparing other statistical, financial and accounting reports
- Preparing month-end and year-end information
- Processing all sales transactions manually and electronically after transaction has been submitted by the sales reps
- Overseeing all company financials
- Responsible for overseeing administrative staff, delegating and following up as needed with certain employees
- Providing back up support as needed for front reception on rare cases
- Other general accounting/admin responsibilities as required
- Completed College Diploma or University Degree, with specialization in Accounting/Finance or Business Administration preferred
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a bookkeeping/accounting or office management role with accounting/finance duties
- Experience working within an automotive dealership environment strongly preferred
- Previous experience with the Microsoft Office Suite including MS Excel and Windows
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines within a fast paced environment
- High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
- Must demonstrate flexibility with job requirements and adapt well to changing priorities
- Strong communication and customer service skills
Compensation: $20-25/hour
