Autodata Solutions is looking for a Senior Web Developer to join their London, Ontario Java Development team!

Position Overview:

As a Senior Developer, your primary role is to design, code, test, debug and analyze software programs and applications. You will be expected to drive and contribute to researching, designing, documenting, and modifying software specifications throughout the production life cycle in areas with broad scope. You will act as the Subject Matter Expert on multiple projects while guiding and mentoring junior developers.  Collaboration is also key when you join our team of over 50 in-house Developers.    

Key Responsibilities:

• Write software components and applications according to specifications and industry standards with thorough code reviews and mentor others in this effort
• Act as the project Technical Lead while working with Business Analysts, Architects & other Programmers in conceptualizing and developing new software programs & applications
• Guide & assist in the preparation and documentation of program requirements 
• Run and monitor software performance tests on new and existing programs for the purposes of correcting errors, isolating areas for improvement and general debugging
• Generate statistics and prepare reports for management and/or team members on the status of the project
• Liaise with Network Administrators, Systems Analysts, Database Administrators and Software Engineers to assist in resolving problems with client software products or software systems

Qualifications:

• Degree or diploma in Computer Science or equivalent education/experience
• 7+ years working experience designing and building internet based applications with languages such as Java, C++, C#
• 5 years experience with Java/J2EE application servers as well as web servers such as Tomcat & Apache
• Familiarity with SQL and database development
• Experience in a leadership role, guiding teams to meet client specifications while ensuring the project is on time and within budget
• Demonstrated ability with web or enterprise content management systems
• Self-Motivated and self-directed with strong written and oral communication skills
