CoorsTek currently has an opportunity available for a talented Materials Manager. This position will be located in London, ON.
 
Essential Functions: 
  • Plan, organize, direct, manage and evaluate the material management activities and budget of the organization.
  • Analyze market and delivery systems to assess present and future material availability.
  • Oversee the shipping and receiving functions ensuring timely and accurate shipment and receipt of customer or supplier product.
  • Responsible for inventory management and information accuracy with department supports
  • Employs cycle count programs to identify and reconcile inventory
  • Monitors supplier performance as to specifications, delivery, service and cost.
  • Reviews supplier capacity planning to assure capacity requirements are satisfied based on sales forecasts.
  • Responsible for production and materials planning activities for regular and service part production, as well as subcontracted production requirements.
  • Ensures production and material schedules meet customer requirements while minimizing inventory investment and maximizing our production efficiencies
 Qualifications: 
  • Post-Secondary degree/diploma in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration and/or related discipline.
  • A minimum of 5 years progressive experience in management of materials and sourcing within a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience in total quality, six sigma, or experience in similar environments an asset.
  • Working knowledge and understanding of ERP/MRP systems and their use in a manufacturing environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Access.
  • Ability to demonstrate solid written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to obtain a security clearance.
