Graphic Design and Communications Coordinator

We are currently seeking a self-motivated individual to join our team in the role of Graphic Design and Communications Coordinator for a full-time contract position up to twelve months.  Reporting to the Director of Communications and Marketing, this position is responsible for graphic design assets including print material and digital graphics, website and social media content creation, monitoring and reporting.
 
Key Accountabilities:
  • Graphic assets including print material and digital graphics
  • Social media content, execution and trend monitoring
  • Quarterly activity updates design and data collection
  • Coordination with print, web and social media service providers
  • Content creation for websites, social media, articles, newsletters, press releases, blogs and presentations
  • Implementation of communications and marketing strategies
  • Preparation and planning of background documents
  • Other projects as they arise including but not limited to assistance with event planning and execution and local outreach activities
 
Required Skills and Expertise:
  • Post-secondary education in a related program or equivalent work experience
  • Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator)
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
  • Proficient in Google Analytics
  • Basic knowledge of HTML/CSS
  • Knowledge of design program ‘Sketch' an asset
  • Positive, solution oriented attitude with a track record of good judgement
  • Excellent analytic and problem solving abilities and critical and creative thinking
  • Strong writing skills and research abilities, including the ability to identify and cater to diverse audiences
  • Advanced editing skills, with attention to grammar and detail
  • A team player that can work well independently
  • Ability to communicate and represent the organization in a wide variety of situations
