We are looking for a Director Business Development Pharmacy to join our team.

Summary of Position:
Reporting to the Vice President Pharmacy Services, within the London, Ontario office, this position is responsible for improving Mohawk Medbuy Corporation’s market position and achieving new Member growth targets. Supports the development of long-term organization sales goals, builds key new customer relationships, identifies new Member opportunities, maintains extensive knowledge of current market conditions, identifies and follows trends in the pharmaceutical industry, and analyzes new business opportunities.

Key Responsibilities Include:
  • Lead business planning efforts including generating business plans, evaluating competitive landscape, recommending pricing, positions, geographies and market
  • Assess growth opportunities through data gathering and analysis of economic, competitor, financial industry information
  • Develop key performance indicators and scorecards to provide insight into on-going opportunity development efforts, opportunity status, potential threats, requirements and key to success for senior management
  • Travel to customer sites for relevant activities and meetings (estimated travel frequency for this role is 30% - 40%)
  • Working with the Pharmacy Services team, develops business plan forecasts for short and long-term goals for Pharmacy Services
  • All other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
  • Education – Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy or entry level PharmD
  • MBA or advanced degree (preferred)
  • Eligible for Ontario College of Pharmacists licensure (OCP)
  • Demonstrated Innovative thinking with Pharmaceutical expertise
  • Strong Management/progressive leadership capability in an institutional healthcare setting with retail industry experience
  • Demonstrated proficient communications skills, both written and oral
  • Demonstrated organization/time management skills
  • Demonstrated knowledge of procurement and drug licensing regulations
  • Thoroughness of knowledge and understanding of the pharmaceutical and healthcare industry
  • Strong ability to deliver effective internal and external presentations
  • Strong ability to build rapport and establish long term relationships, with demonstrated public relations capabilities
  • Demonstrated business acumen
  • Experience in sales/marketing, with demonstrated customer focus
  • Customer centric “mindset”. Customer service oriented for ensuring an enhanced customer experience
  • Innovative procurement experience (preferred), such as familiarity with HSCN, BPS, CFTA
  • Bilingual (preferred)
