Job Description

Join our Finance team and help ensure completion of our monthly accounting cycle processes including financial statements, investment accounting, and recording and payment of expenses for Trudell Medical Limited and some of our related companies.

General Accounting and Financial Reporting
  • Monthly financial statements (income statement, balance sheet, statement of cash flow)
  • Monthly reconciliation of balance sheets and expense accounts
  • Year-end working papers and year-end financial statement closing processes
  • Daily bank deposits
  • Daily cash management, and records and general ledger accounts maintenance 
Investment Accounting
  • Investment transactions recording
  • Monthly market adjustments
  • Real time investment accounting records maintenance
 Accounts Payable
  • Accounts payable recording, coding, invoice entering, and vendor payments
  • Expense report reviews for completion and accuracy
  • Cheques and electronic payment generation
  • Vendor communication and correspondence
  • Accounts Payable sub-ledger reconciliation to the General Ledger
  • Accrual account reconciliation
  • Supplier statement reconciliation
  • Tax instalment and payroll deduction remittances
 Reconciliation, Analysis and Planning
  • Sub-ledger review and variance analysis
  • Monthly management performance report preparation
To be successful in this role, you ...
  • Are a graduate of a 3-year College Program (e.g. Advanced Diploma, Graduate Certificate) in accounting or a related field
  • Have gained two years of related experience
  • Are computer literate with advanced experience in MS Excel, and it’s an asset if you have experience in MS Dynamics Great Plains (ERP)
  • Have excellent interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Are able to work independently
  • Are able to meet deadlines
  • Are committed to helping us fulfil our mission and will be an ideal team player
