The Clinic Systems Support Coordinator (IT Helpdesk) provides support for Schulich Dentistry’s enterprise computer-based Dental Clinics Management System and any integrated technologies. The role reports to the Systems Administrator and will work with internal and external stakeholders to ensure that the clinic system is effectively implemented and used optimally to meet the needs of the dental school and those it serves.  By understanding the relevant dental school processes and people, the Coordinator champions the optimal use of the system and coordinates and/or directly provides technical support, training, and end-user documentation to system users within Dentistry.

Qualifications

Education:
-   3 year Community College Diploma in Computer Information Systems, Business Administration, Information Technology or related field 
-   University degree in Information Systems & Technology, Business Administration and/or and Information Technology field is preferred


Experience:
-   1 year of experience providing technical support and customer service 
-   Experience in an academic dental environment is preferred 
-   Experience in a collaborative environment supporting enterprise systems is preferred


Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
-   Demonstrated skills and expertise in overseeing the implementation of software products/systems 
-   Ability to demonstrate a positive attitude and resilience when faced with setbacks 
-   Understanding of system and software quality assurance best practices and methodologies  
-   Proven ability to design and deliver training material to end users, including strong presentation skills with demonstrated ability to conduct training sessions  
-   Professional manner, tact, diplomacy and discretion in dealing with various stakeholders and colleagues  
-   Ability to establish and build healthy working relations and partnerships with clients, peers and external stakeholders  
-   Excellent troubleshooting and technical resolution skills  
-   Demonstrated ability to work independently and take initiative and follow through on work assignments  
-   Demonstrated oral and written communication skills and presentation to all levels of the organization (internal stakeholders up to senior management levels)  
-   Ability to work well under pressure and handle multiple conflicting priorities in a fast-paced environment  
-   Advanced skills in Microsoft Office
