CoorsTek currently has an opportunity available for a talented Human Resources Administrator. This position will be located in London, ON.
 
Essential Functions: 
The successful candidate will be someone who strives to always improve their personal best and is looking for an opportunity to grow and develop their skills into more senior HR functions.
  • Responsible for processing bi-weekly payroll:
    • Processes new hires, pay adjustments, expense reimbursements, pay increases, bank account changes, bonus payments etc.
    • Processes resignations and terminations, including payout of monies owning, letters of employment, exit interviews and ROE distribution.
    • Investigates and resolves payroll issues.
    • Prepares monthly payroll journal entries and provides hour reports as required.
    • Provides all year end communication to payroll provider, reviews and approves annual payroll schedule and distributes T4 slips to employees.
  • Participates in the recruitment efforts for the organization including internal and external job postings, screening resumes, coordinating and conducting interviews and reference checks.
  • Leads new hires in formal orientation program.
  • Maintains employee information in various systems by entering and updating employment and status-change information.
  • Monitors and manages Company attendance and vacation tracking.
  • Administers group benefit plan including the processing of new enrollments, terminations, changes and claims resolution. This includes: Medical, Dental, Life insurance, AD&D, and LTD.
  • Responsible for the administration of Company benefit and pension plans.
  • Reconciles monthly invoices from Benefit provider.
  • Oversees the company’s uniform program, accuracy of pricing and listing of active employees receiving uniforms.
  • Delivers training as needed for the Company for various areas including but not limited to Company policies, Health & Safety, Accessibility, and HR related software i.e. Kronos.
  • Assists in the development and implementation of company policies, procedures and guidelines to ensure compliance with federal and provincial legislation.
Qualifications:
  • Must meet the requirements of the Canadian Controlled Goods Security Assessment Application as per Section 15 of the Controlled Goods Regulations, SOR/2001-32.
  • Diploma/Certificate in Human Resources Management or actively working toward this or related field.
  • 1-3 years experience working in Human Resources in a manufacturing environment.
  • 2 years experience processing payroll (experience using ADP an asset)
  • Certification as a Payroll Compliance Practitioner (PCP) an asset.
  • Excellent knowledge of all Employment legislation, Health & Safety legislation and WSIB requirements
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint and Internet Explorer)
  • Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality in daily operations and exercise tact and discretion in dealing with sensitive and confidential information.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to work well with employees at various levels of the organization.
  • Detail oriented and ability to work to tight timelines.
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple priority projects simultaneously.
