Reporting to the Director, Corporate Planning, the Special Projects Manager implements operational and software projects which may range in scope, and include but are not limited to process improvement, software and integration activities in an organization that is experiencing growth and change.

Responsibilities Include:

• Apply project management skills, work collaboratively with all project stakeholders and take an active role in planning, communicating, implementing and achieving overall deliverables aligned with the company’s strategic directions.
• Manage projects of differing types; from partnering with leaders on large cross-functional projects to being the staff lead on topic-specific work. This will include assignments relating to customer-based initiatives, operations business processes and other initiatives 
• Facilitate and implement change gained through a deep understanding of key stakeholder needs. Develop change management and implementation plans and ensure all stakeholders are committed to effective implementation. 
• Develop schedules and implementation plans for assigned project based on required timelines. Coordinate deliverables with internal and external project team members. Provide staff training and ongoing support required for implementation.


Experience & Qualifications:

• Minimum of 7-10 years’ related business work experience with at least 3 years’ experience managing and implementing cross-functional operational projects. 
• Ability to translate business needs into technical requirements and solutions.
• Exceptional organization and time management skills with the ability to adapt easily and quickly to changing priorities, responsibilities, needs and expectations.
• Must possess strong analytical, critical thinking, sound judgement and decision-making skills supported by clarity of written and verbal communication. Training facilitation experience.
• Very proficient in Microsoft Office products, customer and project management software. Proven ability to interpret statistics and correlate large amounts of data.
• Customer service orientation and the ability to work collaboratively, with excellent follow-through and attention to detail. 
• Bachelor’s degree and/or Project Management Professional (PMP) designation.
