Are you an expert in the French language with a keen eye for detail? Are you interested in joining a team that builds quality communications for our customers? Marketing Delivery is looking for an experienced French Proofreader (permanent, full-time employment) to join our dynamic team. Position Overview:
 
The position is based in London and reports to the Assistant Manager of Production in the Marketing Delivery department. The successful incumbent must have excellent French grammar skills, an enthusiastic interest in the French language and the ability to ensure accuracy of translation.
 
Accountabilities:
 
  • Ensuring accuracy of translation, including internal consistency of a piece and co-ordination with other printed and electronic materials
  • Proofreading marketing materials, publications, presentations, web pages, correspondence and forms, ensuring finished versions are free of spelling, grammar and formatting errors
  • Ability to check revisions and to ensure French communications convey the same message as the English version
  • A strong understanding of the company’s operations, products and services
 
Qualifications and competencies:
 
  • University degree in French literature or French translation
  • Previous French proofreading experience would be an asset
  • A clear understanding of the English language
  • Ability to use Internet Explorer and Acrobat Pro to open and mark up proofs to transport documents between translations and communications
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Outlook
  • Knowledge of industry terminology and company products and services
  • Self-motivated, organized and be able to multi-task and prioritize work to meet deadlines
  • Strong attention to detail with excellent time management skills
  • Ability to identify opportunities to improve process and create efficiencies
  • Superior interpersonal skills demonstrated through excellent communication skills in a team building environment
  • Enjoy working in a fast-paced team environment
