Job Details
 
CARPROOF is excited to add a Learning and Development Manager to our growing team. This role will be instrumental in spearheading a new CARPROOF Continuous Learning Program (CLP), working closely with external consultants and internal stakeholders.
 
Reporting to our Human Resources Manager, the Learning and Development Manager will work closely with the HR team and several internal departments to evaluate and assess the company’s development needs. This person will help design learning experiences that increase the efficiency, effectiveness and appeal of acquiring new skills. There will also be opportunities to deliver training materials in an in-person, classroom setting.
 
The Learning and Development Manager will be responsible for coordinating and administering a training schedule, and managing the corporate learning and development program that is currently being used. This position will collaborate with all business teams to leverage company resources and provide maximum benefits, and work with external partners to develop new programs and utilize existing resources.
 
The successful applicant will have soft skills that fit in with the HR Team and overall CARPROOF culture, including: grit, perseverance, leadership and commitment to excellence in customer service. They will have a passion for learning and development, and the ability to confidently present content to large audiences.
 
The successful applicant can prioritize job responsibilities and work efficiently and independently in a team environment, while utilizing sound project management and organizational skills.
 
Position Responsibilities
 
  • Spearhead our new CARPROOF Continuous Learning Program (CLP)
  • Conduct ongoing analyses to determine organizational training needs
  • Design learning materials that include experiential learning plans complete with facilitator guides, course outlines, learning objectives and supporting course materials and/or job aids
  • Review, audit, make recommendations and manage existing CARPROOF learning programs
  • Coordinate and maintain a company-wide training schedule
  • Manage and administer all IHS Markit compliance-related training
  • Manage and oversee the training budget
  • Evaluate, research, recommend and manage a Learning Management System
  • Lead and/or manage various projects as assigned
  • Create, communicate and administer training-based evaluations and metrics, including ROI
  • Stay current on learning and development industry trends, methods and strategies
 
Education and experience required:
 
  • Post-secondary education, college diploma or university degree in Adult Education
  • At least 5-7 years of learning and development experience
  • Experience developing online training modules using various software tools
 
Requirements
 
  • Ability to work at a strategic and tactical level
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, deadlines and projects.
  • Experience implementing various learning solutions i.e. Learning Technology, eLearning Design, and Virtual Learning Technologies
  • Ability to facilitate training, present to large audiences and communicate with learners with diverse backgrounds, knowledge and experience
  • Demonstrated attention to detail, a self-starter and able to prioritize in high stress situations
