Description:
As Logistics Coordinator, you will provide premium transportation services to customers and participate in sales, pricing/costing, equipment sourcing, negotiating, dispatching, customer service and vendor relations. This permanent role offers a high level of action and autonomy, allowing you to make decisions independently and stay engaged in a fast-paced environment.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Present service options, pricing/rate quotations and company information to customers
• Manage customer orders, shipments and sourcing of motor carriers/equipment, ensuring that customer requirements are followed and performance/profit objectives are met
• Negotiate rates for transportation service with motor carriers
• Track shipments and facilitate customs clearances with stakeholders
• Resolve issues with various parties
• Vendor development and pricing/lane analysis
• Monitor carrier performance and manage service levels
• Nurture and expand relationships with customers, providers and team members
• Maintain and manage accurate documentation and records
• Other related duties as required

 
QUALIFICATIONS:

• Minimum of 2 years’ 3PL and Freight Brokerage experience 
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast paced environment & multi task
• Strong verbal and written communication
• Exceptional customer service skills
• Strong organization, math & analytical skills
• Good with maps and geography
• High energy with a positive attitude
• Team player, interacts well with others
• Intermediate to Advanced computer skills: MS Office (Word, Excel and Outlook),internet and excellent typing speed
• Resourceful and innovative; a natural problem solver
• Experience with PC Miler and Fleet Manager is an asset
   

ADDITIONAL SKILLS AND INFORMATION:

• Access to a reliable vehicle is required – bus service is not available

 
EDUCATION/CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES:

• Completion of post-secondary program or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience
