We are one of the largest not-for-profit providers of licensed child care in Canada and have over 100 school age programs across our regions. We also offer settlement services to newcomers, employment programs, and youth programs. YMCA of Southwestern Ontario operates an overnight camp on Beausoleil Island in Muskoka, YMCA Camp Queen Elizabeth. We also have 13 Health & Fitness branches across Southwestern Ontario.

Position: Graphic Designer Location: YMCA of Southwestern Ontario - Hybrid with an in-office day each week (Chatham, London, St. Thomas or Sarnia) Start Date: April 20, 2026 Salary: $50,000 - $55,000

- Create high-quality visual and digital assets that support YMCA marketing, communications, and fundraising goals across print, digital, and social channels.
- Apply and champion YMCA brand standards to ensure consistency and strong brand stewardship across all materials.
- Lead creative development in collaboration with the Marketing and Communications team, Development team, and other internal stakeholders (category leaders/branches).
- Design marketing materials that are clear, engaging, and aligned to campaign objectives (e.g. simplicity, emotional impact, strong call-to-action).
- Manage multiple projects at once—prioritizing deadlines, staying organized, and communicating progress proactively.
- Develop, organize, and maintain the team's library of visual/digital assets and manage inventories of printed and electronic marketing materials.
- Manage stock photo/video tools and contribute to content creation by producing and editing photos/videos as needed for campaigns.
- Post-secondary diploma in Graphic Design (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
- 1–3 years of experience in a related graphic design role.
- Experience working in a charitable/fundraising environment is preferred.
- Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite (e.g. InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop).
- Strong understanding of brand standards and the ability to apply them consistently across all deliverables.
- Demonstrated ability to apply design thinking across multiple formats and channels (print, digital, social).
- Knowledge of effective digital design principles, including design for social media platforms.
- Understanding of print production processes, methods, and emerging technologies.
- Strong project management, organization and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize multiple projects and deadlines.
- Collaborative, service-oriented approach when working within project teams with internal clients and external partners.
- Ability to provide a current Criminal Record Check, as required by Association policy.
