WHAT YOU WILL DO?
Keep financial records and establish, maintain and balance various accounts using manual and computerized bookkeeping systems
Post journal entries and reconcile accounts, prepare trial balance of books, maintain general ledgers and prepare financial statements
Calculate and prepare payments for payroll, tax, WSIB and other bills
Preparation of accounting working paper file
Prepare other statistical, financial and accounting reports
Prepare working paper and financial statements
Prepare corporate tax return T2
Prepare personal tax returns T1, T4, T5 and related filings
Administrative Support
Answer incoming calls, direct calls to the appropriate staff, and answer general inquiries
Greet clients, receive and collect documents from clients
Clerical duties - collect payments from clients; package clients' documents
DO YOU HAVE?
Completion of a 2-year College Diploma and/or University Diploma in Accounting.
2 years of experience in accounting or bookkeeping.
Proficiency with accounting software (i.e. Quickbooks, Xero, Sage 50, Caseware, etc.)
Proficiency in Microsoft software (i.e. Excel, Word, Teams, etc.) is essential.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Proactive approach to problem-solving and decision-making.
Good time management skills to manage various competitive deadlines and to work under pressure.
Ability to work overtime and weekends during tax season.
Flexibility and adaptability to meet the needs of a dynamic work environment.
