Buckland is looking for an Infrastructure Analyst

What you'll be doing This role is primarily focused on network administration, supporting the day-to-day operation, security, and performance of our network environment while also providing broader support across servers, virtualization, and enterprise systems. This is a great opportunity for a mid-level infrastructure professional who wants to grow their network expertise while staying hands-on across the wider infrastructure stack.

You will be responsible for Network Administration

  • Administer and support network architecture, planning, and design initiatives including LAN, WAN, VLAN, MPLS, VPN, and hybrid cloud networking (Azure/AWS).
  • Monitor network performance and availability and troubleshoot connectivity and performance issues.
  • Support and help maintain firewall and perimeter security solutions (e.g., Fortinet) in collaboration with the Cyber Security team.
  • Implement and maintain secure remote access technologies (SSLVPN, IPsec, L2TP, SASE).
  • Assist with network capacity planning, design recommendations, and documentation of network hardware and configurations.
  • Follow established change management policies and procedures when testing, scheduling, and implementing network changes.

Infrastructure Support

  • Support Windows Server environments, including Active Directory, Group Policy, and fileserver / print services.
  • Assist with the administration and optimization of virtualization platforms (VMware vSphere).
  • Provide support for Microsoft infrastructure platforms including Microsoft 365, Exchange, SQL Server and Azure.
  • Participate in backup, archiving, disaster recovery operations, and DRP testing.
  • Maintain accurate infrastructure documentation, including network diagrams and system configurations.
  • Collaborate with the broader IT team on infrastructure projects, upgrades, and technology rollouts.
  • Provide escalation support for infrastructure-related tickets from the service desk.
  • Other duties as assigned.

What we need from you

  • Bachelor's degree or diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of three years of hands-on experience in network administration and IT infrastructure support.
  • Working knowledge of LAN/WAN design, VLANs, trunking, Layer 3 segmentation, and switching/routing protocols.
  • Experience supporting firewall and VPN technologies (e.g., Fortinet) and secure remote access solutions.
  • Familiarity with Windows Server, Active Directory, Group Policy, and core Microsoft infrastructure services.
  • Exposure to virtualization platforms (VMware vSphere, Hyper-V) and Microsoft 365/Azure environments; hybrid cloud experience is an asset.
  • Working understanding of IT security principles and practices (NGFW, IDS/IPS).
  • Familiarity with backup and disaster recovery concepts (e.g., Veeam) is an asset.
  • Excellent problem-solving, troubleshooting, and decision-making skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively within a distributed IT team.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Must be legally eligible to work for the Company at all times.
  • Valid Passport ability to occasionally travel if required to other offices locations in CAD/USA/MEX.
