We are currently hiring for a Shop Floor Associate in our London, Ontario location
The shop floor associate will be responsible for accurately identifying, labeling, packaging, and preparing products for shipment in accordance with Safran company procedures and quality standards. This includes verifying product specifications, part numbers, quantities, and labeling. The role involves assembling parts per customer specifications, engineering drawings, and company procedures, selecting appropriate hoses and fittings, measuring and cutting hoses to required lengths, operating crimping and assembly equipment, and performing inspections and pressure testing to ensure product quality and compliance. Additionally, maintains accurate production records, follows safety procedures, and contributes to efficient production through attention to detail and teamwork.
Main Function Responsibility
Label and package parts accurately per print or customer documentation.
- Verify part numbers; apply correct identification tags and prepare products for shipment.
- Inspect assemblies for damage or irregularities, including free-spinning nuts and damaged sealing surfaces.
- Pressurize assemblies to specified proof pressure without exceeding limits.
- Document defects and complete nonconformance reports.
- Maintain cleanliness of work area and tools/equipment as per 5S standards.
- Operate production line machinery and basic hand tools.
- Read and interpret blueprints with high attention to detail.
- Pick products from inventory for production line use.
- Make necessary adjustments to produce parts within specifications and quality standards.
- Follow Safran Production guidelines, Policies & Procedures, and AS9100 QMS requirements.
- Collaborate effectively as part of a team and support production efficiency.
- Willingness and flexibility to work in and be transferred to different departments on the shop floor as required to support production needs.
- Follows Safran Policies and Procedures.
- Ability to work in accordance with Ontario Health & Safety legislation.
- Regular, reliable attendance and punctuality are essential requirements of this position
- Other tasks assigned by the production manager or senior leadership in support of organizational objectives.
Job Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Diploma in a technical field is an asset.
- Minimum one year of manufacturing experience is preferred.
- Knowledge of assembly techniques with strong attention to detail.
- Experience working with various measuring tools
- Strong assembly skills.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills with strong ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to collaborate with different departments and multicultural customers

- Basic understanding of MRP systems.
- Experience working in a manufacturing setting.

Must be available to work during regular business hours:
Mon-Thurs: 7:30am – 4:30pm
Fri: 8:00am – 2:00pm
Salary: $19.00-$22.00 hourly Reason for Recruitment: Replacement.
This position involves working with controlled goods and is subject to Canada's Controlled Goods Program (CGP) regulations. Successful candidates must be eligible to obtain and maintain the required CGP registration/security assessment.
