Job Description
Job Summary:
MCFBedard Group Inc. is looking for a Customer Service - Assistant to manage client inquiries, coordinate responses, and support our team in a dynamic Group Benefits Brokerage environment.
Responsibilities:
Perform a variety of administrative tasks, including handling incoming calls and emails, reviewing correspondence, preparing outgoing communications and courier packages, and assisting with ad-hoc projects.
Act as the primary point of contact for a high volume of client and employee inquiries, triaging requests and ensuring timely follow-up.
Maintain and update client records, reports, and internal tracking systems with accuracy and attention to detail.
Support and strengthen existing business relationships through responsive, professional service.
Coordinate actions between internal team members, corporate clients, and insurance carriers/suppliers to deliver efficient and accurate outcomes.
Provide backup support to other team members and departments as needed.
Develop knowledge of Group Benefits products, processes, and systems through structured on-the-job training.
Qualifications:
College Diploma, University Degree, or equivalent work experience.
Strong math skills; able to perform basic calculations and percentages.
Excellent written and verbal communication; able to draft clear, professional correspondence.
Past experience in retail, customer service, or public-facing roles is an asset.
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher, Teams); quick to learn new software.
Handles confidential information with integrity and discretion.
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
Self-motivated, results-oriented, and able to work independently while collaborating with management.
Willingness to take on new tasks and learn as needed.
Ability to accept direction from multiple levels of management
