Are you an Electrical Apprentice looking to expand your skills and gain valuable hands-on experience in an industrial environment?
London Hospital Linen Service (LHLS) is looking for a motivated Full-Time Electrical Apprentice with a minimum of two years of apprenticeship experience to join our Maintenance team at our health care laundry production facility.
This is an excellent opportunity to continue developing your electrical skills while working and learning alongside experienced, licensed, industry professionals.
As part of our Maintenance team, you will gain practical experience maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing industrial electrical systems and equipment. You will have the opportunity to strengthen your technical knowledge, develop your problem-solving abilities, and build the skills needed to advance toward becoming a licensed electrician.
What we have to Offer:
- Starting Rate of $27.16-$35.51/hourly (with increases as per Collective Bargaining Agreement)
- Afternoon shift premium $0.80/ hourly

Work Schedule:
This position operates on a rotating two shift schedule
- Day shift 6:30 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.
- Afternoon shift 3:30 p.m.- 12:00 a.m.
Key Responsibilities:
The Electrician Apprentice's central task is to work alongside experienced electricians and maintenance professionals This may involve doing basic tasks such as:
- Handling the tools
- Assisting with the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of industrial electrical systems and equipment
- Complete electrical wiring tasks
- Learning to Identifying electrical faults and diagnose equipment malfunctions
- Developing troubleshooting and problem-solving skills through hands-on experience
- Supporting the replacement, adjustment, and calibration of electrical components and equipment.
- Support calibration of equipment following manuals, schematics, diagrams, blueprints and equipment specifications
- May also involve working independently from the Electrician at times on electrical tasks when training and skill allows
- Following all workplace health and safety procedures and applicable electrical safety standards
- Working collaboratively with the Maintenance team to support equipment reliability and minimize production downtime
Qualifications:
- Grade 12 Diploma or equivalent
- Be a registered electrical apprentice with a minimum of two years of apprenticeship experience
- Basic understanding of electrical systems, components, and troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with electrical codes and safe work practices
- Possessing the ability to understand schematics and technical manuals
- Proven commitment to excellence in Quality
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication skills and willingness to work as a part of a team
- Great trouble shooting ability
- Willing to work shift work and overtime
- Demonstrated commitment to supporting health and safety in the workplace
