Job Type: Full-Time

Salary: $65,200 – $92,600 base salary

Hours: 40 hours per week

Work Schedule: 2-week Rotating shift (Midnights, Afternoons, Days)

Position Summary

The Production Supervisor is a front-line leader responsible for supervising employees and managing daily production activities to achieve safety, quality, delivery, productivity, and cost objectives.

Working within a unionized manufacturing environment, the Production Supervisor provides visible leadership on the shop floor, ensures compliance with company policies and collective agreement requirements, and drives employee accountability and operational performance.

The Production Supervisor serves as a primary link between employees and management, ensuring production plans are executed safely, efficiently, and consistently while fostering a respectful and engaged workplace.
About You

Education & Experience

  • Post-Secondary education in Manufacturing, Operations, Engineering Technology, Business, or a related field is preferred.
  • Equivalent combination of education and manufacturing leadership experience will be considered.
  • Minimum 3 years of manufacturing experience.
  • Previous supervisory, lead hand, team lead, or leadership experience preferred.
  • Experience in a unionized manufacturing environment is strongly preferred.
  • Experience supervising employees in a production environment is an asset.

Knowledge

  • Manufacturing operations, production processes, and workflow management.
  • Occupational Health and Safety Act (OHSA) requirements and workplace safety practices.
  • Company policies, procedures, and work instructions.
  • Labour relations and collective agreement administration.
  • Production planning and daily production requirements.
  • Quality standards and manufacturing processes.
  • Attendance, timekeeping, performance management, and employee relations processes.
  • Microsoft Office and manufacturing/business systems.

Working Conditions

  • Fast-paced manufacturing and production environment.

  • May require extended hours, shift coverage, or flexibility to support production requirements.
