KPMG's Department of Professional Practice (DPP) is in search of a high-performing candidate to support the annual inspection cycle and help enhance audit quality across the firm.This role will work closely withregulators, engagement teams, leadership in DPP and Business Unit Professional Practice Partners.


What you will do
 
  • A key resource for the external inspection cycle includingthe Request for Information (RFI) process.
  • A primary contact with the external regulators, senior leaders, and partners within the firm.
  • Supportengagement teams withcourageous and empathetic conversations, active listening of external requests, oversight of engagement team coordination and ensuringengagement teams have the right level of support.
  • Use your technical proficiencyto review engagement team deliverables, provide open and honest feedback and ensure external requests are appropriately responded to.
  • Guide engagement teams through the remediation process to ensure timely and sufficient resolution.
  • Support audit quality matters through the development and implementation of improvement opportunities as well as sharingof overall observations withinDPP.
  • Participate inDPP, Audit Quality projects and initiatives, as required.
  • To maintain connectivity with your sponsoring office, we encourage a commitment of approximately 200 hours per year to work on engagements in your region during your rotation, either as part of an engagement team or in an EEA Review role.

What you bring to the role
 
  • Canadian CPA designation or international equivalent
  • 8+ years of experience in a large professional services firm
  • Exceptional knowledge of KAEG-Iand KPMG Clara Workflowrequired with also having knowledge of KAEG-Ppreferred.
  • Experience as an audit manager/senior manageron Reporting Issuer engagementsrequired with PCAOB experience preferred.
  • Prior internal and/or external inspection experience
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, attention to detail and ability to generate high quality deliverables.
  • Experience and proven ability to manage team members and projects successfully and direct the work of others.
  • Ability to work in a deadline driven environment.
  • Confidence and resilience in dealing with senior partners and challenging situations.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, high emotional intelligence, and professional maturity; demonstrated ability to effectively interact and build professional relationships.
  • Awareness of the sensitivity of information received and appropriate handling.
  • Proficiency in English at a business level is required.

 

KPMG Ontario Region pay range information
The expected base salary range for this position is $108,500 to $158,500 and may be eligible for bonus awards. The determination of an applicant's base salary within this range is based on the individual's location, skills, & competencies, and unique qualifications. In addition, KPMG offers a comprehensive and competitive Total Rewards program.
KPMG BC Region Pay Range Information
The expected base salary range for this position is $86,000 to $150,000 and may be eligible for bonus awards. The determination of an applicant's base salary within this range is based on the individual's location, skills, & competencies, and unique qualifications. In addition, KPMG offers a comprehensive and competitive Total Rewards program.
