Our client a Warehouse for aftermarket parts is looking for 5-6 Material Handlers to join the Team. These positions are immediately available and are evaluation hires meant to go permanent!
What's in it for you
- $18.00 an hour with opportunity for wage increases as you gain experience.
- Straight days 6:30am-3:00pm Monday to Friday with possibility of overtime.
- Company has been in London for over 50 years and is owned by the same family.
- This position is NOT ON A BUS ROUTE.
The Role: Material Handler
- Picking orders, receiving, inventory control, shipping, stocking and organizing.
- Complete necessary paperwork (e.g. warranty forms) in an accurate manner
- Load parts onto delivery vehicle.
- Sort items in alphanumeric order
- Operate warehouse equipment when necessary to perform tasks
What You’ll Bring
- A dedicated individual looking for long-term employment and have dedication to the team.
- You can do physically demanding work (must be able to move products that weigh 10 – 50 pounds, be able to walk, climb, balance, twist, lift and bend safely and regularly)
- Warehouse experience an asset (e.g. picking, receiving, shipping, inventory control and maintenance)
- Experience and certifications in machinery as an asset (e.g. Walkie, Cherry Picker/Order Picker, Reach, Counterbalance)
- RF Scanner experience an asset
- Strong basic mathematical skills and computer skills is an asset.
- Accountability and dependability
- Excellent ability to work independently and as a team
- Time management skills and prioritization skills with a deadline-oriented mindset
