This role offers the flexibility of a hybrid work environment from any WSP office in Ontario.

Your Impact

  • Lead environmental assessments and approval processes for complex water, wastewater, and stormwater infrastructure projects.

  • Deliver Municipal Class Environmental Assessments, including Master Plans and Schedule 'B' and 'C' projects, that support community growth and infrastructure renewal.

  • Direct multidisciplinary project teams to successfully complete technical studies, impact assessments, and regulatory submissions.

  • Design and implement engagement programs with Indigenous Nations, regulatory agencies, community members, and stakeholders.

  • Provide strategic guidance to clients on environmental planning, permitting, infrastructure servicing strategies, and feasibility studies.

  • Strengthen client relationships, identify emerging opportunities, and contribute to successful business development and proposal efforts.

  • Mentor and support team members through technical leadership, coaching, and professional development.

  • Champion health, safety, sustainability, and quality excellence throughout project delivery.

The Skills That Set You Apart

  • Degree in Environmental Studies, Environmental Science, Planning, or a related discipline.

  • 10+ years of experience leading environmental assessments and approvals for water, wastewater, and stormwater infrastructure projects.

  • Demonstrated success delivering Municipal Class EAs, including Master Plans and Schedule 'B' and 'C' projects.

  • Strong knowledge of applicable legislation, including the Environmental Assessment Act, Endangered Species Act, Ontario Heritage Act, and related regulatory frameworks.

  • Proven experience engaging Indigenous Nations, stakeholders, regulators, and the public using both traditional and digital engagement approaches.

  • Strong project management capabilities with experience leading medium to large multidisciplinary teams.

  • Established business development experience, including client relationship management, proposal preparation, and opportunity identification.
