Software Tester

The Software Tester plans, designs and deploys effective test suites and regimes for in-house product development, software application development, information system launches, and operations systems enhancements. He/she will apply proven analytical and problem-solving skills to help validate, verify, communicate and resolve systems/software application issues through careful testing to ensure that our products are defect-free and conform to product and client specifications.

Responsibilities include:

·         Creating and executing test scripts, test cases, and scenarios that will determine optimal system/product performance according to specifications.

·         Writing Test Plan and Test Strategy documents to ensure sufficient test coverage

·         Writing test cases using structured techniques

·         Executing test cases and write automated test cases

·         Writing detailed product defects using a software defect tracking system

·         Providing timely and effective communication to internal stakeholders relating to quality, resource, project issues and concerns

·         Managing product defects and work closely with our internal teams in Solutions Design, Development, Architecture, UI, Content Services and Project Management to resolve defects to closure

·         Be a champion of quality both with your department and to other departments

Candidates must have a minimum of:

• Thorough understanding of quality assurance principles and methodology;
• 5- 7 years software quality assurance/testing experience
• Demonstrated ability to perform manual and automated testing on software applications
• Good verbal and written communication skills

• Demonstrated ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• Ability to work under pressure, heavy workloads, tight deadlines and high expectations
