Job Description
Position Purpose: The Centre Administrator will provide leadership in the development, design, delivery and administration of learning experiences for all children enrolled in the Children’s Centre that will contribute to the success and long term sustainability of Milestones Children’s Centre as a community partner and model for child care. All aspects of the Centre Administrator position will be performed while working within the framework of the vision, mission and value statements and the policies and procedures of Milestones Children’s Centre, the Code of Ethics and Standards of Practice, the Child Care and Early Years Act, 2014, the Child Care Centre Licensing Manual and How Does Learning Happen?.
Key Responsibilities:
The Centre Administrator has accountabilities in the areas of Administration, Program Management, Mentoring and coaching, Human Resources, Finance, Teamwork and Communication, Community Relations, Professional Learning, Health and Safety and Information Technology.
Education, Qualifications and Certifications:
- Early Childhood Education Diploma
- Registered in good standing with the College of Early Childhood Educators
- Criminal Record Check (Vulnerable Sector)
- Safe Food Handling
- Standard First Aid with CPR-C
- Valid Driver’s License
- Have an understanding of How Does Learning Happen? and the Child Care and Early Years Act, 2014
Experience:
- Minimum of 2 years in a Child Care Centre (preference will be given to candidates with supervisory/administrative experience in a Child Care setting)

Hours: Monday – Friday, 40 hours/week (plus before- and after-hours supply calls), rotating shifts
Start Date: ASAP
Salary Range: $38,792.00 - $42,993.60 per year, plus $2.08/hour wage enhancement, and benefits after 3 month of full-time employment
