An exciting opportunity is open at ONS Projects Inc. for providing scientific and sales support for the sale of cardiovascular research equipment. We are looking to fill the position of Product Manager to support Indus Instruments products in North America.  Indus Instruments provides innovative solutions to facilitate research in University labs, pharmaceutical companies and CRO’s.  As the company grows there will be significant opportunity for advancement in sales, applications support and education/training.

As an Indus Product Manager, you will be tasked with increasing the sales of the preclinical products, manufactured by Indus Instruments, to scientists and researchers across the USA and Canada.  Some of your responsibilities would include: 
  • Assessing customer scientific needs and advising them on measurement techniques available
  • Product education seminars and related support for the marketing team
  • Demonstrating the use the Indus Flow Velocity System and rodent monitors in North America.  Responsibilities include:
    • New customer identification and first contact
    • Movement of prospects through all stages of the sales pipeline
    • Product demonstrations at prospective customer locations
    • Installations and training
  • Advising Indus engineers on product advancement and new opportunities
  • Maintaining accurate records within the contact management database, including sales and activity reports
Supporting resources available to you directly from Indus Instruments will include:  scientific and technical support, infrastructure and systems, sales administration, product demonstration kits (includes a laptop) and access to training facilities.  Travel will be essential for this position.  It is expected that 25 - 30% of the Product Manager's time will be spent traveling to customer locations, trade shows, product demonstrations and workshops.
 
This position will report directly to the Vice-President of Sales and Marketing.  The successful candidate will be expected to work from their home and will be provided with a monthly allowance to offset expenses.  

To be considered for this role, you must have: 
  • A University degree in the Life Science field, preferably Masters or PhD level
  • A valid drivers license
  • Computer proficiency
  • Laboratory research experience in the cardiovascular area
  • Strong negotiating skills
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • A valid passport for travel to United States and other countries as required

  • Ability to navigate complex purchasing and decision processes

Training programs are available as required and location is flexible.  Compensation is based on experience and includes base salary, commission and a remote office allowance.
