At TagsforHope we are building one of the leading pet products brands in the world. We are looking for a talented full-stack web developer to join our team of passionate and energetic people who are building a successful eCommerce company with the mission of helping animals.

The role

You will play a critical role in our company and we are looking for someone with good experience, a creative mind and the ability to solve complex problems.

Our company utilizes software in all areas of our business from powering and automating our manufacturing (we build all products in-house in Canada), to powering the complex customization features on our front-end that 1000s of customers use every single week to order custom products for their pets.

This role is challenging as you will be applying the latest web technology to give our company a competitive edge. You will be building complex analytics tools, integrating various APIs from Facebook, Pinterest, Google, FreshDesk, and other 3rd party platforms. You will be creating cutting-edge internal dashboards, utilizing AI and the latest machine learning to automate processes, designing and building complex and real-time product preview tools on the front end, utilizing AR, working with GPS technology, NFC technology, integrating Arduino technology and so much more.

This is a very unique and rare position, as an eCommerce brand we work in so many different fields and because of that if you are a person who enjoys working in a corporate, well-established environment where you work on one side of a project for months, please do not apply.

What skills you will need

These are the main technologies we are currently working with and an ideal candidate will have mastery in at least 4 of these areas and the ability to quickly catch up on the others

• Javascript ES6+

• Vue JS

• PHP 7.4+

• Laravel

• Git

• MySQL 5.6

• SCSS

• WooCommerce

You will need additional mastery in some of the following:

• Git

• WHM/cPanel

• C#/Java

• Rest APIs

You will need to meet one of the following education/experience requirements

• College or University Degree in Web Development or similar AND/OR

• Minimum of 3 years of web development experience in a professional environment

*Our founders are self-taught entrepreneurs, and web developers and so although a formal education is helpful, it is not required for this position as we know first hand that in this day and age you can learn almost anything using the web.
