Indiva (TSXV:NDVA) (OTCQX:NDVAF) is a Canadian licensed producer of premium cannabis and cannabis products, and a provider of extraction, manufacturing and refinement services. Indiva aims to be a clear Canadian leader in the cannabis industry by creating products that outperform the field in their quality and creativity.

Based in London, Ontario, Indiva’s state-of-the-art facility includes aeroponic, environmentally-conscious grow rooms and a nearly completed extraction and manufacturing space, which will be able to process 70 tonnes of biomass annually and produce safe, high-quality cannabis-infused edibles.

In Canada, Indiva will produce and distribute the award-winning Bhang® Chocolate, Ruby® Cannabis Sugar, Sapphire™ Salt, Ruby® Gems, and other derivative products through licence agreements and joint ventures.

The Role 

The Production Scheduler/Material Planner will ensure raw materials and packaging items are availlable to support the production schedule.

Responsibilities:
  • create and maintain detailed production schedules, to ensure that customer orders are filled on time and in the correct quantities. The position also serves as a communication hub between Production, Demand/Supply planning, Sales, Logistics, Purchasing, and inventory
    management.
  • ensure raw materials and packaging components items are available to support the Production Schedule.
  • Constantly review and analyze production variance reports to ensure production plans are in place to meet both customer and deliverables and minimize material obsolescence and write offs
  • Monitor production output and track against monthly, quarterly, and annual business goals
  • Analyze historical harvest data (such as yield efficiency) and adjust the company supply forecast as appropriate
  • Use Production Schedule to forecast raw material requirements, balancing inventory goals with schedule requirements
  • Monitor raw-material levels, inventory levels and understand re-order points
  • Create Purchase Requisitions and ensure that orders are placed and fulfilled in an effective and timely manner as per material requirements identified by ERP system. Monitor status of material orders to ensure timely and accurate delivery dates.
  • Develop and perform variance analysis and periodic reports/analysis as needed
  • Based on the analysis of the Production Schedule, Coordinates with Production, the Buyer and Inventory team to improve the flow of incoming materials in support of the plant
  • help optimize buying power by working collaboratively with Buyers
  • Proactively identifies and communicates potential supply chain disruptions and resolves discrepancies in a timely manner.
  • Supports in reconciling inventory discrepancies, as needed by the Inventory Team.
  • Helps develop action plans and manage specific materials projects to improve key metrics.
  • Assist with managing list of raw materials and packaging specifications

Qualifications and Education Requirements

  • Strong interpersonal skills to direct the work of others while maintaining composure in a fast-paced environment
  • Post secondary education in Supply Chain or related 
  • Previous experience in CPG manufacturing environment
  • 3 – 5 years experience in planning or similar role
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
  • Experience with ERP systems
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Punctual, reliable and responsible
  • Must have clear criminal record
