Job Description

Maintenance and Engineering Manager opening in Woodstock, this key individual is an integral part to the operation and is considered to be an influential leader on the team. Responsible for managing and coordinating all aspects of maintenance / engineering with respect to the physical plant, grounds, all equipment and machinery related to food processing.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
•Developing appropriate schedules, staffing, and stock levels to maintain all production plans and schedules.
•Absence coverage for Plant Manager and / or Production Manager
•Manages preventative and corrective maintenance programs, ensuring availability of appropriate equipment to meet all production needs 
•Drives continuous improvements to processes and equipment, striving to improve productivity, quality and profitability of systems, processes and equipment
•Read, analyze and interpret general to complex technical procedures or drawings or government regulations, staying current on recent industry impacting regulations
•Manages, leads, motivates, and mentors maintenance, and engineering departments respectively, offering solutions to employee concerns or problems
•Managing up to 10 people indirectly or directly and up to 6 additional during projects
•Project management; managing building and maintenance budget
•Food / Quality safety

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE
•Degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or Electrical engineering
•5 to 7 years of progressive maintenance experience, as well as plant engineering
•Report writing, business correspondence and procedure manuals to present to clients etc.
•Food or Pharmaceutical industry background is ideal
