Position Summary

As a part of Training team, Client Training Developer will be primarily responsible for creating new course materials by leveraging internal technical documentation and various subject matter experts. Client Training Developer will work closely with Sales and Implementation to determine customer training needs and provide a course outline and schedule based on defined needs.

The ideal candidate possesses:
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Well-developed analytical, problem solving, and decision making skills
  • Understanding of learning principles and effective training and development program components including the evaluation process
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple concurrent priorities and meet deadlines within a dynamic, fast-paced and challenging environment

Principal Accountabilities

  • Develop instructional materials and training aids for WinAir software for both instructor-led and online learning using adult learning principles;
  • Analyze, write and revise testing materials;
  • Create multimedia materials using presentation software, rapid-development tools and image/audio processing software;
  • Storyboard multimedia learning objects such as videos or animated/interactive art;
  • Ensure existing training material is up-to-date based on new software releases or new delivery methods;
  • Analyze training evaluations in place to test knowledge transfer at time of training and to determine appropriate course of action based on evaluation results;
  • Review training evaluations to ensure customer satisfaction, effective course content and identify potential training opportunities
  • Plan, schedule and track projects, maintaining aggressive deadlines and communicate risks in a timely manner
  • Liaise with various departments to understand WinAir Software, provide accurate training recommendations and support implementation process of new and existing customers
  • Communicate with customers during the implementation process to provide a course outline and schedule that works with the needs of their operation
  • Facilitate training courses as required to internal employees and external customers as required
  • Support other departments as required

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum of College Diploma in related discipline, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Knowledge of training design methodology and adult learning principles
  • Demonstrated proficiency in using Articulate, Adobe, Photoshop, and Microsoft Programs (Storyline, Captivate, Premiere)
  • Ability to utilize project management principles to see a project through from start to end
  • Ability to travel when required

Preferred Qualifications

  • 3+ years’ experience developing and facilitating course contents
  • Experience delivering training courses in either classroom or online setting is a definite plus
  • Fluency in other languages is an asset
