As a Human Resources generalist, you will be responsible for all day-to-day administrative activities for an employee base of 160 +. Reporting to the HR Director, you will be specifically responsible for:
  • Day to day administration of Human Resources processes and services in support of company management and all employees.
  • Facilitate all activities related to Recruitment & Selection; Onboarding, Employee Training, Health & Safety, Compensation and Benefits Administration, Resource Planning, Employee Relations, Performance Management and all compliance requirements.
  • Provide guidance and advice to management in interpreting Human Resources policies and procedures and support the provision of a safe and healthy work environment for all company employees.
  • Assist management and employees in resolving conflicts, work related questions or issues in an effort to maintain positive employee relations and harmonious work environment.
  • Process biweekly Payroll processing.
  • Perform other duties as assigned including HR projects, support to accreditation requirements, etc.   
We require you to have the following:
  • At least one year of practical Human Resources experience in a production type environment
  • Be CHRL designated or working toward the designation.
  • Previous experience processing payroll using a third-party provider i.e. ADP
  • Excellent presentation, communication, interpersonal skills, organizational and time management skills are required.
  • Ability to work with a sense of urgency in a fast-paced environment with multiple demands and to maintain confidentiality is required.
  • Ability to exercise effective judgement, sensitivity, and creativity to changing needs and situations is required.
  • Proven track record with action orientation, timely decision making is required.
  • Ability to work independent of supervision when required, but also know when to seek advice and assistance from the HR Director.
  • Ability to establish and maintain healthy working relationships and professional boundaries with people in the course of work is required.
  • A positive attitude and willingness to roll up your sleeves and change course if priorities have to change.
