We are currently hiring for a Mail Clerk, to join a Financial / Insurance company in downtown London.
This company is known for being a Top Employer.

The position would start off in a contract role for 2 months with the possibility of extension!
As a mail clerk, your primary objective will be to ensure accurate, timely and efficient delivery and filing of claims to the team/individuals.

Job Responsibilities:
- Opening, sorting, date stamping and distributing to the appropriate area, any mail not received through our Corporate Mail Services department
- Handling outgoing mail to ensure documents are sent to the correct locations
- Sorting and delivering incoming faxes to appropriate area
- Scanning claim requests within our office and to various locations
- Daily and frequent filing which may include: daily claim batches, batches/claims returned from other office locations, reject to history claims, claims and batches returned from the Audit Department
- Boxing up batches/files to be sent to the Records Centre.
- Re-routing mail/claims to the appropriate location if received in our office in error

Requirements:
- A strong team player, but also must have the ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Good interpersonal skills
- Quick, efficient, and enjoys working in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to handle multiple tasks with various deadlines
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Detail oriented
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Lifting is required (up to 30lbs)
- Very reliable with excellent attendance
- Must be okay with paying downtown parking Fee or utilize public transportation
- Must be able to pass a criminal background check and typing speed of 40-50 wpm
