Job Description
NO EXPERIENCE NEEDED. WE WILL TRAIN. EXCITING LEGAL PRACTICE.
We have an opening for a junior legal assistant, law clerk or administrative professional with less than 5 years experience in an office setting. Tasks will involve requesting and briefing documents from health care providers, educational facilities, employers and government agencies. Client contact through correspondence, email and telephone will also be expected. File creation and organization as well as scanning and indexing electronically will be a daily task. It is preferred if applicants hold a College diploma from a Legal Assistant or Law Clerk program, but other post-secondary education will be considered. For those right out of school or switching careers, don’t be shy as we will train you for this position.
Successful applicants will be able to multi-task and set priorities. Refined organizational and time management skills, accuracy and attention to detail are required for this position. Proficiency with Microsoft Office is essential. A working knowledge of PCLaw and Primafact would be an asset.
