General Accountant

QUALIFICATIONS:

Candidates should ideally demonstrate the following:

Ø      Minimum 2 years experience in General Accounting including Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Fixed Assets, General Ledgers

Ø      Experience in Payroll

Ø      Proven experience in ACCPAC

Ø      Preferred working towards CGA designation or CMA

Ø      Proven attention to detail plus excellent time management skills

Ø      Excellent, strong proven customer service experience

Ø      Good organization and communications skills.

Ø      Above average keyboarding and data-entry skills

Ø      Availability to work flexible hours and provide own transportation.

Ø      Ability to work independently essential

Computer SkiLLS

·        Computer software application experience in MS Word, Excel & MS Outlook, Access

·        Strong Knowledge of ACCPAC for Windows

DUTIES:

This position includes the following duties:

Ø      General accounting duties

Ø      Generation and posting of invoicing

Ø      Assist with Customers Collections and accounts receivable

Ø      Maintain fixed assets sub-ledger

Ø      Maintain General Ledger

Ø      Month end reconciliation

Ø      Provide backup for Divisional statements and inter-company reconciliations

Ø      Provide guidance to accounting and administration staff

The wage for this position is between $15 - $ 18 per hour.
