Job Description
A well-established manufacturing company located south-east of London is currently looking for a Health and Safety Coordinator. This is a permanent opportunity offering competitive benefits and pension.

- Assist with creation and development of Occupational Health and Safety management systems (ISO 14001, ISO 45001), best practices and processes to support employees, supervisors and managers
- Ensure safety policies and procedures are followed in compliance with the Ontario Occupational Health and Safety Act
- Responsible for communication of plant safety policies and procedures to employees, management personnel, contractors and visitors
- Provide interpretation of policies to management, create training materials, facilitate policy implementation and resolve issues
- Periodically carry out audits to verify compliance with company policies
- Participate in audits, incident investigations, and implementation of corrective actions Responsible to provide input to management regarding safety committee plant audits, concerns and recommendations
- Other duties as required
Qualifications:
- Post-secondary education related to Occupational Health and Safety
- Minimum 1-3 years of experience in an Occupational Health and Safety role in an industrial setting
- Knowledge of all related health and safety legislation including the Occupational Health and Safety Act and WSIB Regulations
- Demonstrated strong interpersonal, verbal and written communications skills with the ability to communicate across functional lines and at all levels in the organization
- Strong planning and time management skills; ability to effectively handle a variety of assignments simultaneously
