Role Overview:

The Digital Communications Strategist will be responsible for the creation of digital content for products and services across several brands, markets, and audiences. The primary content formats include blog and social media but may include web and e-mail. The successful candidate must also be able to drive strategic content recommendations and execute content creation aligned to the corporate brand strategy. The successful candidate will have a proven ability to drive purchase behaviors with accurate, relevant content that solves the needs, wants, and challenges of customers throughout the buying journey and back again.

This individual is an expert in all things related to content marketing, social media, and digital media activation strategies.

Knowledge of B2B markets and a strong customer focus approach is critical.

Responsibilities:

• Drives strategic recommendations for content strategy at project level
• Responsible for writing content, directing vendors and agency partners to create video, photography, GIFs, infographics, and other assets
• Creates digital content that meets all internal governance and external market standards, including formatting, corporate brand guidelines, tone-of-voice standards, and SEO.
• Collaborates across functions and silos to create and deliver an effective content marketing strategy aligned to brand objectives
• Provides leadership for business stakeholders to accelerate quality content marketing initiatives that drive traffic, engagement, leads, that deliver sales and customer retention.
• Responsible for staying connected to new opportunities, trends, and platform changes tooptimize social and content delivery and execution

Qualifications:

• Expert in best practices of content marketing, social media channels, digital technologies, behaviours and trends
• 5+ years of digital marketing, content marketing, communications, or marketing agency experience
• Bachelor's degree in Marketing or Communications
• Exceptional writing and editing skills, with sound editorial judgment and consistent expression of brand voice across multiple product lines and personas.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to present ideas and information clearly and manage multiple projects on tight deadlines
• Digital savvy with experience in SEO best practices, including keyword practices, research and analytics.
