Job Description

3M is seeking a Key Accounts Manager for its Medical Solutions Division team located in Ontario. The successful candidate will make an impact by strategizing, developing, leading and partaking in sales activities to drive revenue, broaden reach, and accelerate adoption of all 3M Medical Solutions Division applications across all appropriate health care settings. Priority on building strategic partnerships at the regional, senior level in healthcare in Canada will be key to success. The territory spans NW/NE ON LHIN regions, the SW ON corridor, and Manitoba.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Establish a strong business alignment with all Key Accounts to create strategic partnerships
  • Establish customer driven Key Performance Indicators with each Shared Service Organization/Health Authority and establish regular KPI reviews
  • Create and manage regional contract strategies in collaboration with sales team
  • Collaborate with the 3M contract team on the RFP process, including design and editing
  • Project manage large, multi-site conversions with effective project plans
  • Back Order management, including managing product allocation to minimize impact to the customer during a backorder and implement a back-order substitution list
  • Collaborate with the pricing team on price harmonization and reconciliation
  • Financial reporting

To set you up for success in this role from Day 1, 3M requires (at minimum) the following qualifications

  • Completion of a post-secondary program in Business, Healthcare, or related field
  • 2 (two) years of proven management skills
  • 5 (five) years progressive sales experience
  • Superior ability to build high level partnerships
  • Must be a demonstrated self-starter with the ability to work independently and efficiently without supervision
  • Superior sales and presentation skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office, Apple applications, and salesforce.com
  • Experience in contract proposal design, negotiation skills, and resource utilization
  • Excellent communication skills and strong analytical skills
  • In-depth knowledge of Canadian healthcare segments
  • Willing to travel to attend scheduled business and corporate functions as required

Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:

  •  French an asset, but not required

Travel: In this role, you will be required to travel approximately 50% of the time post-COVID restrictions, which may involve overnight stays. A valid driver’s license is required.
