Environmental, Health & Safety Administrator (1 year contract)
THE POSITION:
- Support company policies and procedures related to environmental health and safety legislation, regulations, requirements and industry best practices.
- Participate in the Joint Health and Safety Committee.
- Complete monthly workplace inspection, participate in safety meetings and committee activities.
- Liaison between all departments and management health and safety projects, directives and initiatives created through company safety system.
- Deliver training programs to promote workplace health and safety, new employee orientation, safety talks, equipment lock out, etc.
- Participate and complete investigation process, corrective actions and reporting.
- Support environmental processes and projects for continual improvement of the ISO 14001 management system.
- Respond to environmental, waste management and environmental emergency inquiries and tasks.
- Comply with company policies and procedures supporting the quality management system, environmental management system and health and safety
- Other duties as assigned
WHAT YOU OFFER
- Minimum of one to two years of experience in environmental health and safety role in a manufacturing environment
- Development of training materials and presentations
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, problem solving and facilitation skills
- Good computer skills
- University degree or college diploma or equivalent
- WSIB JHSC Part 1 and Part 2 certification, an asset
- First Aid and CPR Certified, an asset
