Position:                                CPIC Operator
Status:                                    Temporary, Full-Time
Starting Salary:                     $41,892 (Start) to $ 54,488 (12 months)

Working in our Support Services Division, CPIC Operators work 24/7 to supporting our front-line officers by performing a range of duties specific to the Canadian Police Information Centre (CPIC). 

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Assist LPS members to perform CPIC queries, additions, modifications and removals, and to process narrative messages via CPIC;
  • Maintain manual files such as occurrence reports, fax message log, special occasion permits, warrants, and the video statement room;
  • Transcription of occurrences and other incident reports into Versadex;
  • Perform general maintenance such as attachments to occurrences, towed vehicle log, purging of reports, and photocopying of applicable reports and criminal records requested;
  • Co-ordinate the escorts of prisoners regarding out of town CPIC warrants;
  • Perform audit function on warrants, probation, prohibition, and special interest police entries in the absence of the CPIC auditor; and
  • All other duties as assigned within the core competencies.
Requirements
  • Secondary school diploma;
  • Strong attention to detail and proofreading skills;
  • Keyboarding skills; minimum 40 wpm;
  • Ability to work rotating shifts including days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
Salary:       $ 41,892 (Starting) to $ 54,488 (at 12 months)

Hours of Duty:       Compressed work week, 12-hour shifts, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays.

Condition of Employment:

All London Police Service employees are required to be fully vaccinated (defined as completion of the full vaccination cycle with a COVID-19 vaccine approved by Health Canada) as a condition of hire unless there is a valid exemption pursuant to the Human Rights Code.
