FTE - Permanent Position (10-month employee)
Effective Immediately
Salary range: $ 62,779 - $ 86,075 commensurate with experience
(plus 4% vacation pay and an additional $2,378 annual allowance)

Secondary Mental Health Psychological Associate
Association of Professional Student Services Personnel
FTE - Permanent Position (10-month employee)
Effective Immediately
Salary range: $ 62,779 - $ 86,075 commensurate with experience

As part of the multidisciplinary team in Learning Services, the successful applicant will provide psychological assessment and diagnosis, as well as evidence-informed clinical intervention to youth experiencing mental health challenges, consultation and capacity building with parents, educators and other personnel who support those youth. The candidate will directly support Board risk management protocols and procedures and liaise with community partner organizations and will provide supervision to psychoeducational consultants in psychological assessment, as needed. The position will support students at our Alternative Learning Centre as well as assist with the coordination of VTRA and System Crisis Response. The position will report to the Clinical Lead Supervisor.

Education, Experience and Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Psychology and member in good standing with the College of Psychologists of Ontario (CPO)
- Relevant clinical work experience with children, youth and families at risk (5 years preferred)
- Demonstrated leadership skills and ability to be self-directed in a complex work environment
- Experience providing evidence-informed clinical intervention, assessment, diagnosis, and consultation with youth experiencing social, emotional, behavioural, and mental health challenges
- Experience in crisis intervention and the implementation of system-wide risk management protocols
- Experience providing adult professional learning and training to build capacity at the individual, school, and system level
- Proven ability to work successfully in a team environment with students, school staff and parents in partnership with other system staff and community partners
- Possess excellent communication, organization, and consultation skills
- Possess an understanding and willingness to support an inclusive Catholic education environment.
- Reliable transportation is required to travel within the LDCSB district
